Activities and fun in Zurich

Hi everyone! Im new in this forum and in Zurich.
I would like to organize some activities during the week for a surprise for the person im visiting .. but i really don't know a lot the city.
I was thinking some nice lunch in the city with view, perhaps some hiking...
Any ideas?
Thank you!

Uetliberg - lunch at Uto Kulm www.utokulm.ch/en/

Take tram no. 13 from the main train station or Paradeplatz direction "Albisgüetli". Get out at the last stop and go uphill into the forest. The hike up will take approx. 40 min - you can go stright, which is a steep hike or turn left and up - the view there is fantastic. and you can have a nice lunch in Uto Kulm and after that walk back or take the train to the main station.

Perhaps take a walk around the lake. If you're on the Enge side, you can stop at Quai 61 for lunch.
If you're down by the Chinese Gardens (Seefeld side), you can stop at Kiosk (http://www.restaurant-kiosk.ch/en/), or Fischstube (http://www.fischstube.ch/).

Or take the Lake Zurich boat around the lake (free with your tram pass!)

It's always great to take guests to one of the Sprüngli cafes.

Another place where it's nice to walk around and check out shops is the Viadukt.

Ice skating in Dolder - huge rink, very impressive, has cheey disco music on Friday evenings: http://www.doldersports.com/de/20/kunsteisbahn.aspx
