Day trip on Panoramic train from Montreux

We heard about the train that goes from Montreux to Gstaad - how do you book this? I looked on the website but it's not very clear. Do you need to book in advance in April or can you just turn up at Montreux station? We will be taking the train from Lausanne- can you buy a ticket from there?

You can buy tickets from Lausanne to gstaad online or at the sbb /Lausanne station.
The are regular trains and special trains (Like the chokolate or cheese Train), which include more then the trip from Montreux to .....
Some offers start in may , so if you take a regular train, no need to hurry.

No need to book anything in advance, it's a normal train.

Exception to this: some of the trains have about 8 special seats at the front which offer a "driver's eye" view of the scenery and the track ahead. For these specific seats, you need a reservation and a first-class ticket.

At quieter times, these seats may be available without booking in advance. There are equivalent seats at the rear as well. These are less likely to be booked

You do not need to book in advance.

I have gone on the entire panoramic journey from Luzerne to Montreux via Interlaken and Zweisimmen - and enjoyed it a lot!
