So, your best bet is to go to a range, see if you can make a friend and let them invite you to come shooting, once you develope a good reputation, then you can bring your own guests. I strongly advise against walking up with a group and asking to shoot...9 times out of 10 they'll send you back the way you came.
This is not just the case for firearms.

I once turned up at an archery event as a spectator and casually asked if I could have a try, maybe with a view to signing up as a member if it turned out I liked it. The organizer was aghast that i would even dare to imagine it was that simple.

I've never had this... turned up to most ranges I've shot at in CH without much prewarning. They peeps there are quite friendly and open. In one range I got a 20 minute "the EU are stealing our guns and destroying our way of life" speech from a protell advocate, followed by "but not you, you're a good one as you shoot"....

One range didn't even check ID, they asked if I had a passport - I said yes, pulled my passport out (closed) and got waived through...

I've got the M2 SP - love that gun, and I believe the SP is quite similar to the 1301... it's part of my 3-gun lineup (ARX100, M2SP and M9A3 - does it show that I prefer Italian guns?) Also have an AR15 (bushmaster based), a CZ75B, a SW M&P45 and a M25 Sniper (Chinese clone by SDM).

Currently trying to stop myself from applying for another aquisition permit... I really want a 1911 or 2011...
Iím in Zug canton now. Iíll get a car in the next month, then get in touch.
