hello

i read here about Alsace, and truely a trip to strasbourg is worth it. mulhouse less so in my opinion, but strasbourg is worth it.

if you have anglo american roots, then the area surrounding is an historical... keystone.

white wines are to be discovered
Both the train and the automobile museums in Mulhouse are absolutely worth a visit.

Re: Best Option for a day trip!!

Options for the Bodensee are Meersburg and Lindau, they are so pretty !
Not far from Meersburg you have the Pfahlbaumuseum in Unteruhldingen (reconstructions of lakehouses from the neolithic stone and bronze age).
Friedrichshafen with the Zeppelinmuseum is halfway from Meersburg to Lindau. Lindau has a beautiful harbour. Wasserburg is a pretty little village not far from Lindau.

Re: Best Option for a day trip!!

Some friends are telling me that Milan should be avoid these days. It's incredibly hot, almost impossible to be outdoors.

Re: Best Option for a day trip!!

Thank you all for your suggestions.

I decided to visit Milan and its was beautiful. I left with a early morning train and came back at 23:30 by bus. It was a long and tiring day but Milan was worth it. It provided a different taste with all those monuments and building and cheaper (yet good!) food and transport.

I was able to cover most of the attractions (though I regret not being able to see 'The Last Supper' but there were no reservations available for the day.). The Duomo and nearby places take 3-4 hours and then you can visit sFronza castle etc. (DM me if you need help planning your itinerary)

Yes, it was very hot and if you are not able to bear high heat and humidity you should definitely avoid it atleast for a couple more weeks. Well, fortunately for me, I am from India and I know how to survive such heat waves. Keep your stomach full, stay hydrated and cover as much of your body as you can.
