Old style Swiss Franc 8th series

I know that new 50 and 20 SF have been issued and that the previous version (the 8th series) are still valid currency but do shops and restaurants still accept them or do I have to change them at a bank please?

No problem to use the "old" bills at any kind of shop.

Very many thanks. I will do my best to boost the Swiss economy by spending heroically while I am there for four days!

They're good for another 10 years or so.

If you don't like them, I will gladly dispose of them for you, free of charge of course.

Re: Old style Swiss Franc 8th series

I still hold some Swedish 20 Krona bank notes, with the little kid Nils riding the goose on the back of the note ~ just learned that this note is invalid from last year! While the new 20 Kr bank note was only introduced one year before.
