10 days in Zurich (Wolframplatz) on a low budget

Hi all,

I'm a Belgian living in Poland, visiting his fiancee in Zurich for 10 days with his 2-year old son.

I've been living in Poland for nearly 5 years now, so I've become used to cheap prices for nearly everything, so you can imagine my shock when I arrived in Zurich and noticed pretty much everything costing two to four times as much.
I read about it before, but it still leaves you unprepared for the reality!

Pretty much I have my activities sorted out (museums, zoo, the mountains, the lakes).
What I would need help with, is how to "survive" on roughly 25 CHF per day?
Obviously I won't be eating in restaurants, I will be walking mostly or using the free Zurich bicycle program (if they have the one with the childseat available).

I'm staying at the Wolframplatz, just wondering what the do's and dont's are around this area. Where to shop cheaply. Is there a saturday market for fruits and veggies? Maybe some lowkey good kebabstores around or a pub where you don't lose 8 CHF for a pint (my only "luxuries").

Any other advice for this side of the lake? Especially curious for nice views/rides/hikes etc from here down to Horgen area, basically 15-20 km from here.

Thanks for your time!

The cycle along the Sihl river to the Wildnispark at Langanberg is nice (it's steep at the end).

https://wildnispark.ch/tierpark/

Park is free to enter, has bears, wolves, all sorts. Take a picnic or some sausages to grill.
