| | Find me the sunshine!
So the grey fog descends across Zürich and the 'SAD' begins - seasonal affective disorder - or for me...the winter blues...
I need sunshine... and am struggling to choose somewhere close to ~Zurich that has sun forecast for tomorrow. Nearest is Chur...
Any suggestions on somewhere closer to find the Sun ?

Sunny here too. The fog usually ends at Ziegelbrücke so Glarnerland and anywhere along or beyond the Walensee should normally be clear.

If not, I got one of these years ago. Don't worry about timing any "light therapy sessions" with it. You don't need to sit in front of it at a certain distance for a certain amount of time. LOL. That would only remind your subconscious that you have a problem with lacking sunlight.
I just turn it on when I get up (my flat is open plan so I can move around and still be within it's light), additionally to the light I would use anyway in the morning, do my morning-things and turn it off when I leave the house. Does wonders to my mood and my energy level in the grey season. A decade long problem (winters were a serious problem for me here before) solved.

Yup, lamp is the next strategy.

Live data, click on sunshine instead of temp. There are also webcams on the map.
Yesterday was the day for sunshine. Today more difficult, but still better than fog.

Looking out the window it's clear and (a bit) sunny up on the Etzel (1100m) right now...
Even lower here at 7-800m we are looking down over the Nebelmeer so it's at least clear. However, I fear that in an hour or so the fog will have closed in on Ausserschwyz/Einsiedeln as well.
I'm hunkering down with a good book today...

I use the apps, look out of my windows and plan my attack on a people free sunshine walk in the forest, above the clouds each and every day. Needs flexibility, creativity and durability during the current times when the World and his wife are in Zurich

Most days, it‘s like being inside a dirty marshmallow. Today, however, we have sun. Everywhere in the house. It‘s good.

The top of the Jura is normally a could place to go- but today, although it is clear, and we have seen pockets of blue sky- it is generally greyish.
There is a good reason why 'peasant watch making for the men, and lace making for the ladies' were the main artisan trades up here during winter and farming was not possible, the amazing light.

The winter solstice is today at 11:02 local time. And then, the days start to get longer. Still foggy though for a bit.
