Ideas for guests with children on a rainy day

I apologize in advance if it was already asked (in which case can you pls direct me to that topic?), but I have friends visiting us from Italy with 2 children (4 & 6 years old) this weekend and since the weather forecast are cold and rain I wouldn't know what to do/ where to take them (I don't have children :-)).
We live in Zurich, any recommendation?

Many thanks in advance!!
Fabio

Re: Ideas for guests with children on a rainy day

If you scroll down a bit further on this page you'll see a bunch of threads on this subject. There are some great suggestions and tips.

Bear in mind that people will have the same ideas if the weather is that grim so maybe plan to get to wherever it is as early as possible. If we are ever going somewhere like Alpamare, Trampolino or the like, we get there when it opens.

Alternatively, get your guests to pack wet weather gear and wellies and just go and find some puddles. Guaranteed that won't be busy...

Put them on the train to Ticino, the weather will be great this weekend and everyone speaks Italian (none of that German and French nonsense that they speak up north in Svizzera interna)!
