Axalp - worth it going there for the training day?

The weather forecast for the two days of show isn't encouraging.
Is it worth it going there tomorrow for the training day?
Edit:

Re: Axalp - worth it going there for the training day?

It might help if you gave half a clue as to what you're referring to. Google tells me there's an airshow, so nothing to do with mountain sports, which is what I first thought (hence why I bothered to Google it, and posting here to inform others) but nothing about training.

If you got the right clothing, you will be fine.

The area opens at 5 am, the event will be finished at around 3 pm, so it will be a long day in the mountains (could be cold and windy+Rain).

Visitors should wear suitable gear and be in good physical condition. The route is not recommended for children under the age of eight or for dogs, and spectators hike up to or descend from the air force firing range at their own risk.

So if you are keen, to watch fighter jets and stay in the cold for a decent amount of time, go for it

The airshow is great if you are lucky with the weather. N idea about the training day as only done the actually day. Its really impressive and you can get some great photos.

The weather, I hope you are lucky. I can tell you my experience, the report was bad, terrible. And it was in the town below. At some point you walked up and the cloud was literally at one level, and you walked through it, up top was clear and actually quite warm. The planes were coming up through the sea of cloud. Fingers crossed you get a clear view up top. Enjoy

Re: Axalp - worth it going there for the training day?

It turned out on the "training day" the air show program is same as on the actual air show days (2pm-3:30pm).
There is about 1h30m hike with about 300m to climb, quite steep in its final part).
BTW tomorrow (Wednesday) to be cancelled due to bad weather, so it might be quite crowded on Thursday.
The chair lift can be booked in advance by internet but only until Thursday midnight.
The number of tickets is limited and an additional hike is hours long.
