Restoration/handiwork - hobby/society question

Hi all, hope you are having a wonderful day!

While quarantined and binging youtube, one of the categories that I specifically found very satisfying was restoration videos. Basically restoring old broken things like lighters, axes, etc. to pristine condition.

I would love to get into this hobby, but not sure where to start!

Does anyone know any societies or clubs that give restoration/handiwork lessons around Basel Land or Basel Stadt? Can also be on the German side near Basel.

I saw one when I lived in Waedenswil, but not around where I live now :/

Thanks in advance for your wisdom!
