Driving through OTHER countries

I'm planning a driving trip through the following places

* Germany
-- Highway's no major city

* Luxembourg
-- Luxembourg city

* Belgium
-- Bruges

* France
-- Paris

I know some places require me to have a "certification" sticker, but I'm not sure where to look to find out how to get the sticker

The "certification" sticker might be for pollution control / air quality or something like that.

Does anyone have experience with this.

I forgot all about it until all of a sudden I read that the hotel I'm going to avoids the "certification" sticker area.

Re: Driving through OTHER countries

Hopefully I understood what you're looking for and Googled it right

Here's a link for Germany:
https://www.umweltbundesamt.de/en/to...nes-in-germany

France:
https://www.certificat-air.gouv.fr/en/

Belgium:
https://www.lez-belgium.be/en.html

Didn't find anything for Luxembourg

Edit - I only know that the German word is Umweltsplakette, so I searched based on that.

Major cities in France, including Paris and Lyon. TCS might have more information.

Re: Driving through OTHER countries

In Geneva the French Air pollution sticker is also valid /equivalent. But not entirely sure if it works the other way around. If so, easy to get the Geneva Swiss one in garages in Geneva and neighbouring Vaud.

Re: Driving through OTHER countries

thanks for the info,
Part of my question is --- HOW?
How do I know that a place needs the sticker before arriving there.

Is there a central website that talks about this --- kinda like snow tire requirement per country.

No, it’s been suspended. And the garages in Nyon don’t have them. But if you should find one, the GE one will work in France.

Yes, agreed it was suspended, but all the work was done re. stickers and it's just a matter of time.

Funny, I bought mine at a garage in Nyon (Berger) just before the shutdown.

Re: Driving through OTHER countries

purchasing the German Umweltsplakette.
However I'm seeing different prices on the web.

So I'm wondering what is the real and what is the fake location to purchase this from.

The Green.EU has it for 39euros
https://www.umwelt-plakette.de/nc/de/bestellshop.html

and this site has it for 5.90 euros
https://www.feinstaubplakette.shop/p...reign-vehicles

And this one for 12.50 euros
https://www.germanemissionssticker.com/order/
