Engelberg Trip with Tageskarte

Hello Beautiful people,
I purchased day tickets for my family to visit Mount Rigi and surrounding areas.
Could anyone be so kind to share best plan for day trip? We will start our Journey from Basel. I am interested to to try cruise trip+ Mount Rigi and possibaly Goldenpass short trip for one day.

Is there also any app to suggest trip planing for specific area. Thanks and have a pleasant day
Regards

You mention Engelberg in your post title, but Engelberg isn't really that close to Rigi... as you can see from Blackbird's timetable, once you get down to the foot of Rigi, it will take you almost two hours to get to Engelberg. This becomes a lot for one day, especially if you are planning to go up Titlis from Engelberg as well. Also, I don't think the day pass covers Titlis, although it does cover Rigi.

One option would be to do Basel > Arth-Goldau > Rigi Kulm > down the other side to Vitznau > boat to Luzern > train to Interlaken (part of the Goldenpass line), then back to Basel via Thun and Bern.

I haven't looked at the timings, but the SBB website will give you them.

Re: Engelberg Trip with Tageskarte

My usual trip with visitors is to take the boat from Luzern to Vitznau which connects with the cable car going up the Rigi. Walk down from the top to Rigi Kulm and then take the gondola to Weggis and the boat back to Luzern. AFAIK the day card will not get you up either the Titlis or Pilatus.
The Tell Pass available from the SBB is a great option for exploring central switzerland - add on the ticket to Basel.

Re: Engelberg Trip with Tageskarte

@blackbird I highly appreciate your valueavke time and feedback.

@Stephen yes true Engelberg is not realistic and plan from you and @Kiwisteve seems realistically approachable.
Just one question Schilthorn is also coverd by day pass and catchable by mentioned plan in one day?
Best Regards
