compare that with ikea in Spritenbach where no one is wearing masks, I would say air travel at the moment is very safe actually and low risk.
I know what you mean though, two different rules and none of the make a lot of sense. | | | | | I know what you mean too. In the spring it was a great time to travel as there was non-one anywhere. I went maybe 4 or 5 times back to the UK. I'd take the tube across London and see maybe three other people. Different story now though.

Landers, and how many families have such facilities? Just nonsense in 99.9% of cases. (we could atually do so at sil and bil or one daughter's -but ...)

I'm planning to arrive in Switzerland later this month. Does anyone know how to get from airport to home? Am I allowed to use public transport or a taxi? That sounds like it would break the quarantine rules.

Even if you drive somewhere, you might get out your car? Especially if it is a long journey.
You need fuel?
You need to go to the toilet?
You may urgently need more cigarettes?
You urgently need more sweeties?
You might feel the need for a bite to eat? burger anyone?
Someone who also should have stayed in quarantine, didn't think they had covid-19 and thought they would get in the car and go out for any of the reasons above may crash into you too?
Your car may breakdown, sods law
you may crash your car, murphy's law
If you get caught and found out you'll get a 10k fine, Swiss law

If you are unable to find, here is important part: What to do after entering Switzerland - Upon arrival, go immediately to your home or to other suitable accommodation (e.g. a hotel or holiday apartment). On the way there, keep a minimum distance of 1.5 metres from other people. If you are unable to maintain this distance, we recommend that you wear a mask. Avoid public transport if possible.
- Report your arrival to the cantonal authority responsible within two days. Follow the instructions of the cantonal authority.
- For 10 days after your arrival in Switzerland you must stay in your home or other suitable accommodation without going out. Avoid contact with other people and follow the instructions on quarantine (PDF, 182 kB, 12.09.2020).
So, yes, you can use public transport, if you don't have other mean of transport.

I had to go to Ikea this week (I haven't been there for so long, I missed the highway exit for it ) in Dietlikon and the signs clearly said: "No entry without mask". | Quote: | | | | | This works however with the numbers also going up in Germany I expect this door will also be shut by next weekend. | | | | | On the news yesterday they said it already is the case for Baden Würtenberg? No Swiss shopers allowed?
Well, I accepted that my regular amazon-orders to my German pick-up place might not be possible now or even for the rest of the year.
edit: It was the "canton Zurich ban" that made me realize no amazon for me. Baden Würtenberg is not really the German part I normally head to.

But I thought this mask-thing is in entire Switzerland by now. But I'm not good at keeping up with all the corona-changes, I admit.

Despite the useful comments above, I thought my own experience could be useful to you since I've been in a "high risk country" a short while back.
If you are in Kt ZH, you can either take a public transport or have somebody pick you up at the airport. However, if the person that picks you up is living in the same household as you, he/she will be required to go to quarantine just like you. I've heard that this differs though from Kt to Kt, and given the current unstable and ever-changing regulations I'd in any case call the Corona Hotline just to be sure.
