| | What SPAs are there ..
Looking for a SPA, thermal type place within a couple of hours of Nyon area.. Vaud, Valais, NE etc etc .. Just for a couple of nights in Feb..
I've looked at various like Lavey, Ovronnaz, couple of others and they are in the region of 500+ per night +food, for 4 people it gets expensive.
I'm really reluctant to pay this sort of money when many of the facilities are restricted, eating out not possible etc.. Was recently at Salion and half of it was closed (before the fire).
We could just do airbnb for a change of scene but then we have no facilities etc.. prefer a hotel.
Are there others that worth a look? Requirements : Some kind of SPA for wife.. Bonus is skiing for me and the kids, second bonus is some other stuff like ice skating for the kids..

Some spas might be restricted too. What spa activities do you/she want? Massages and facials, etc. or just a wellness center?

Charmey. Brilliant. Bernaqua, Lavey and Yverdon. Ovronnaz was great, too. We are big spa fishes...
We were in Saillon before it burnt, what a shame. The TV reports looked like it will take quite some time to fix.
Check online first, if you gotta reserve your entry.

I love Ovronnaz. With the Appart-hotel system, you can cook or bring part of your meals which helps saving money. And it’s within walking distance from the ski slopes.

Love the skiing, but would not recommend the thermal baths.

At the moment spas are closed in Valais, hopefully will re-open soon. We rent out our studio apartment in Anzere, right on the piste and 50 meters from the spa! https://www.booking.com/hotel/ch/apa...anzere.de.html | This user would like to thank jimk for this useful post:

Called Loèche-les-Bains in Romandie. Good skiing too at the top of Torrent. Hôtel Bristol is great, but not cheap, with their own spa. There is one right next to the Municipal spa- Hôtel Viktoria. We normally stay in an apartment at Les Naturelles apartments, then walk to the spas. Hôtel Alex is the best for quick and easy access to the Torrentbahn for skiing. Hôtel Griechting too.
Appartments at Ovronnaz vary a lot in size and position- but they are within the spa centre- so very easy access by internal corridors- several times a day if you wish. Good skiing too for a few days. Lucky we can use all of those as timeshare exchanges for very little cost.

When you used all caps in your title, I thought you were certainly looking for SPA Nyon... https://www.spalacote.ch/... daily pension rates are very reasonable. | The following 2 users would like to thank runningdeer for this useful post:

The difference between SPA and spa is what, exactly?

Tom | | | | | SPA, all caps, an abbreviation ; spa, not capped, a word usually referring to a thermal bath, etc..
Around here acronym SPA usually means société pour la protection des animaux.

Hôtel Nendaz 4 Vallées & Spa, I believe it is currently closed to outside clients but not for hotel guests - I think there is a reservation system but best to call to be certain considering how fluid the situation is
Been many times, smaller spa & thermal baths but very good
Vitam Park is decent too but in France (Neydens)
@MusicChick, I didn't realize there was a fire at the Bains de Saillon, shame - we liked that spa too. They had done renovations there not long ago too if I recall
Also, if you like spas I wonder if you've had the chance to visit Santispark in Abtwil - I think it's our favorite for kids

Thanks everybody ..
I read all of your suggestions carefully and then ignored all the good advice and booked a hotel in Leysin .. with a spa (lower case) sauna, pool harman etc..
We can use the toboggan park, ice rink, cut price ski passes .. etc..
Canton VD has some good offers at the moment, 20% off many places with welQome vouchers, 100chf offered by the tourist office. Plus the hotel had another 10% off .. So pretty good.
