| | Re: PCR Test result for Covid within 3 days or 72 hours are they up to expectations ?
PCR tests are pretty simple and I had to get a number of them done in various countries the last months... no lab ever did not meet the deadline. However, my worst experience was the Zurich airport service: https://www.englishforum.ch/daily-li...ml#post3267826 | The following 3 users would like to thank Treverus for this useful post:

Note, that all arriving from high risk countries must provide evidence of a negative test taken within 72 hours prior to departure. https://www.bag.admin.ch/bag/en/home...-id-82136.html
Lousy timing for me as I arrive back on the 6th...

I said on a different thread I don't see how these tests are really evidence of safety anyway. It's just governments again wanting to show they're "doing something".

I had a test recently after experiencing some symptoms. Booked a test at my local hospital for 2pm. The result (negative) came through by SMS at about 8am the following morning, so about 18 hours in my case. When I went in for the test, the nurse asked me if I needed a certificate for travel. Had I said yes, I'd have been charged (I presume) though I'm guessing that the turnaround time would be roughly the same. For people with symptoms, the test is free - make sure you bring your medical card and ID.

Also, those arriving from high risk countries will be able to leave quarantine after 7 days provided they produce another negative COVID test (current quarantine is 10 days).

Honestly I'll take a spit test over swab tests any day of the week. Unless the folks taking mine have been particularly brutal the nose swab really isn't pleasant and both mine have felt like it's almost behind my eyeball its that far up your nose.

Mine went as far as the back of my brain. Really not pleasant!

Did you ended up going to France to do the test? I am wondering what is the price there. Tried to google it, but not much information. | Quote: | | | | | So I was told, I said I did not have a carte vital when asked.

thanks | | | | | At the airport. Not the same service as the PCR test offered there, so I don’t have experience with it, I just saw the signs for it...
