Jura - looking for recommendation

I need a change of scenery. Given the current situation I want to stay within Switzerland.
Jura is one area that I have hardly been and I am keen to explore it a little. Can anyone (Odile?) recommend a nice hotel / B&B that I could stay with a friend for 3 nights? If possible at the end of the month. No skiing.
PM is also fine

Re: Jura - looking for recommendation

The Jura is a misleading term- it is a whole chain of mountains spanning several countries, a French Départment, a Swiss Canton- and also very present in Vaud, Neuchâtel, Bern and Basel (and more?) oh and a Scottish Island.

Neuchâtel Jura is in the middle, and my favourite, of course. Would you prefer to be in a very rural, isolated area, or in a village or town. Would you like to rent electric bikes, visit Museums, hike in wild places? Perhaps visit some Absinthe distilleries? Car or public transport?

Would you prefer to rent a small house, AirbnB, BnB or traditional Hôtel? Lots of choice even with Covid around. What sort of budget? Have many friends who run AirbnB.

Re: Jura - looking for recommendation

Sent one suggestion by pm. Sadly another friend with B&B has had to stop because of health problems.

Hôtel de l'Aigle in Couvet is decent, with good food.

Re: Jura - looking for recommendation

Thank you for the quick reply. Unfortunately we just had a change of plan.
But it will be back on again for later in the year, then hopefully also with more possibilities.

Neuchâtel Jura sounds great. We will have a car. All the options sound lovely. With a car rual is perfectly fine. Once restaurants are open life will be easier again.

Thanks a lot! really appreciate it

If you’re into camping, Tariche is idyllic. Au fil du Doubs is a nice B&B in nearby Saint-Ursanne, La Ferme de La Praz on the „balcony“ of the Jura vaudois. At the decadent end of things, you can treat yourself to the Auberge du Mouton in Porrentruy or the Grand Hotel des Rasses in Les Rasses. Go for it - very rewarding region!
