I used to have a vax book, the problem is that I haven't seen it or used it for the past 30 years or so...

I absolutely had a vaccine booklet in the US in California in the 1960's in California. My mom kept it in my Baby Book. I never needed it again until I became pregnant in the 80's and my ob-gyn wanted to see it. If I remember correctly, I had to get a new vaccine called HIB, which didn't exist when I was a child.
My three American kids also have vaccine booklets. They all 3 grew up in Delaware in the 80's. I think it depends on the state where you were receiving all of your vaccines. I know they wouldn't let my kids start school without seeing their booklets.
As far as the location of that booklet now? God only knows.

Kanton Zurich: no entry in the yellow booklet, just an A4 piece of paper with the information.

Fellow Americans, did we have them? | | | | | Pretty much what meloncollie said. No booklet, and I don't remember what we had to do to prove to the school. It was in my school records way back in the day but... | Quote: | | | | | Nope. At least not when I was a child, back when dinosaurs roamed the earth...
But no booklet, and if there ever was a record it's loooooong gone. | | | | | | This user would like to thank 3Wishes for this useful post: | |

Fellow Americans, did we have them? | | | | | Yes, but maybe it's a California thing. Unfortunately mine sound like Amogle's though: a few books, random papers all stuffed into an old envelope from the late 60s.

Anyone know the deal with if your PCR test for entry to CH should be 72 hrs before departure or arrival. According to BAG it’s both;
1. Boarding control: The airlines systematically check your negative coronavirus test result prior to boarding. The results of the following tests are permissible for this control:
A PCR test carried out within the last 72 hours
A rapid antigen test carried out within the last 24 hours
2. Swiss border control: Border control authorities in the airport’s transit zone check the negative test result on a random basis. For this control, a result brought from the following test is permissible:
A PCR test carried out within the last 72 hours

Maybe to know what you had and check out if you need boosters (I doubt), but personally I can't travel with it as nothing from my vaccination history is required/obligatory anywhere.

California, 1950s-60s: My doctor dad gave us our shots. I also remember getting the sugar cubes at school (Salk polio). Special business-card-sized confirmations were given out for the polio cubes...I still have mine. Otherwise, I got a yellow booklet for my shots in preparation for Africa 1980s--yellow fever, et al. I expect to get quizzed about my lack of certification next week at my BioNtech shot.

Thank you anyway, it's just on my list, didn't book anything yet. We should have been more determined earlier, but logistically is a bit more complicated for us. We decided to spend the spring holiday in CH and see how things go, we'll go somewhere in the summer. We were so patient and responsible so far (too responsible lol!). I'm not gonna risk anything right now. But it's good to have something to look forward to.

I don’t recall having a booklet in the US, but I know there was a record. Somewhere. When I went back to grad school in the 1990s, I had to provide evidence of a vaccine. Instead, my GP ran a titer to demonstrate immunity to measles and mumps.
Sometime around 1960, we all went to a local school on a Sunday afternoon and got a sugar cube with the Sabin polio vax.
I got a certificate and a blue vaccine booklet from my doctor after the corona vax.

| | Re: Holidays abroad during Covid | Quote: | | | | | Btw, Petra in Jordan is one of them. I'm sure Oman is a nice place but it didn't really get under my radar so to speak. | | | | | I liked Jordan; we escaped the UAE to there. There is a place in Jordan that eclipses Petra...Jerash. It's a Greco-Roman city that's absolutely stunning, just north of Amman. Oman is much prettier than the UAE, the people are very friendly, and (unlike the UAE) the beaches and water are unpolluted. The Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque is a wonder of Arabic architecture. Does your hotel not facilitate free antigen tests?
Is the situation different for being on the quarantine list?
