Holidays abroad during Covid?
My advice is simple. Don’t.
You are putting yourself and others at risk.

Oh gosh I have been wondering about this too. Don't feel like staying in CH for another holiday but am a little afraid of going abroad if something happens
Hubby and I unlikely to be vaccinated, kids anyway not and I am not sure of what happens from a health insurance pov if something happens abroad when advise is still "do not travel abroad unless for urgent trips". Have not looked at it yet but this is the part that worries me the most so I think if we are brave enough, perhaps only nearby by car.

Lots of nice places to visit in Switzerland. People spend lots of money in normal times to come here.

I'm assuming that mask-wearing, hand-sanitising, social distancing etc. will be at least as rigidly policed at the airport(s) as anywhere else.

And of course some parts feel very Italian and are warmer too, hey Tom? And provide a much needed change of scenery and perhaps even, climate.

They were tested 2-3 times/week, not allowed off the filming compound for any reason (ok, it was the 4 seasons Maui, so not a horrible thing.) she flew back to Pittsburgh right after Christmas and a week or so later was diagnosed with COVID. So I don’t know....I think it’s probably easier to become infected waiting around in an airport, sitting on a plane than whizzing through the grocery. But maybe not. Hopefully if you’re traveling you’ll be careful and you won’t get infected.

We got a super offer in the post the other day - 35000 Euros for 2 weeks!
By private jet, food and wine included, so that's OK hey
If we go on holiday in CH, we will drive and go self-catering - giving airports and big mix of people a miss. We have moved our Umbria and Tuscany trip for end of May (self drive, self catering) to September - but free cancellation. If we go anywhere until then, it will be to UK, drive over and stay in our own flat and daughters' houses.

My advice is simple. Don’t.
You are putting yourself and others at risk. | | | | | I’ve vacationed multiple times the last year. Tested before flying out and before flying back. Usually visited countries with lower numbers than my home. I see how the typical “get drunk on a Spanish beach” package is a risk during a pandemic. I fail to see how the more individual travelers like myself really pose a risk... I felt safer on the planes than at the local Migros any day.
To the OP: the issue is that the list might change weekly. I spent a week in the Caribbean in March. Numbers were low when I booked, slowly increasing before my trip and during my week the country decided to take measures... so you need to be prepared for that.

I agree with two things: 1) people need holidays for mental health and 2) people should not travel wantonly at this time.
That being said, I am making arrangements for a long weekend trip within Switzerland, staying at one place and limiting our interactions to our hostess and the Wanderweg signs.
