Mechanical/Painting workshop in Zürich

Hello!!

I am looking for a workshop in Zürich area that offers hourly rental of the space, tools(lathe, drill press, etc..) and that could be also used to paint(airbrush and/or powder coating).

Thank you very much

Re: Mechanical/Painting workshop in Zürich

Have a look at the Gemeinschaftszentren. They are run by the city (and pro juventute, an organisation to give young people opportunities) and are open to anyone of any age.

Here's one example, near Bucheggplatz.

I found them googling: zürich gz werkstatt

Each Werkstatt (workshop) will have a different set-up, and the fees are low. There is equipment for woodworking, and probably for other things. You'd have to check them out individually.

A different set of workshops is available through the City, for example a metal workshop called Dynamo.

These are generally properly installed workshops but not of top-notch professional quality, often with some sort of instructor, although that's not necessarily guaranteed.

About painting: that, too, you'd have to ask what is possible at each workshop.

If these aren't the kind of workshop you want, and you're actually looking for a full professional space, then let's hope someone else has suggestions.
