Entering Italy - vaccinated

Hi all,

Hoping somebody else has been through the same situation, otherwise I'll contact the Italian authorities.

We're going to Italy on 13th July for a wedding, staying for 4 days. We are both fully vaccinated (including the 2 weeks) and received the vaccines in Switzerland. We should receive our vaccine certificates this week.

It seems the EU has not formally recognised Switzerland's vaccine certificates yet. Does anybody know if they are sufficient for Italy, or is a test required?

We will be entering and staying in Tremezzo (near Como), so very close to the border.

To answer my own question...

I just called the Italian helpline (link below) and they confirmed that it is valid. Must be 15 days after the 2nd dose, if I understood correctly.

The EU will recognise the Swiss certificate from this Friday 9th July apparently:
