Flying to Heathrow

Firstly Iím sorry for posting a post which has been posted a million times.

I was unable to find an answer which clearly states the info I am looking for

I fly to the U.K. on Friday where can I get one of those free PCR tests and certificate I was reading about in the local?

It won't be free for travel. UK accepts Antigen tests that will come with a certificate far cheaper than a PCR with a certificate

Not free, but only chf45 for the antigen test at Basel Airport

Re: Flying to Heathrow

Could be Chf18 at Zurich (free but the charge for the certificate)
https://checkport.info/covid-testcen...ghafen-zuerich
Someone would need to confirm that.

Re: Flying to Heathrow

Probably not relevant for the OP but if you are in Zurich there is a testing station on Kasernenwiese which is the park behind the police station near the Sihlpost .

The website says you need an appointment and i would recommend following that advice , but I have turned up without an appointment and was served within 10 minutes . This was about three weeks ago and I had the antigen test and didnít have to pay .

Re: Flying to Heathrow

You canít get a free PCR test but you donít need one to enter the UK, an antigen will do. You can get a free antigen test with free certificate at many pharmacies in Basel and also at Medix Toujours. My partner used TopPharm pharmacy on Steinenberg. Certificate emailed in 15 mins.

Re: Zurich airport

You just asked about this a few days ago.
https://www.englishforum.ch/travel-d...-heathrow.html

You need a negative antigen test (not PCR) with certificate to fly to the UK, in addition to the Day 2 and Day 8 PCR tests you have to take on arrival in UK. Many pharmacies will provide an antigen test + certificate for free if you are insured in CH. Some charge a small fee for the certificate. TopPharm Apoteke (at least in Basel) are completely free for the antigen test with certificate. You canĎt get a free PCR test in CH for travel.
