Even if it is clear who is in charge, there is no guarantee that such things won't happen.

The Taleban may well end up deciding that foreign infidel tourists would bring bad ideas into the country so it might be better to do without their dirty dollars.

The only way to get a peek at some of the country's treasures might be to grow a beard and come there pretending to be a devoutly religious Taleban supporter coming to learn more about their success that you so admire.
And return well educated, an asset to the Swiss army?

I know that people love Swiss watches.
Not sure how they feel about Swiss watch lists.

On a serious note though, there’s no denying that Afghanistan is a beautiful and historically rich place worthwhile to visit. However the timing is wrong and I wouldn’t venture there until there’s more certainty as to who is in control of the country and what’s the country’s agenda towards tourists. The last thing is you wanna fall into kidnapping by some scumbags subject to hefty ransom.
As long as you are not American or British, it should be fine

Maybe they don't have brown sugar, but brown opium is much more fun.

Well, I heard that the taliban are preparing a mission to Washington DC with
at least 5'000 troops. Perhaps they could volunteer for that mission?

Someone's got to protect and secure that fragile democracy.
Some (on spotify) say it's even threatened from within.
