Hi folks,

Two friends and two children are coming out to visit in September, however, they are on a tight budget and have asked if there is a caravan park to lodge at for their stay.

We live near Montreux and I have seen that there is a campsite in Vevey and one in La Tour de Peilz, but from what I understand, they are they kind of places that you pitch a tent.

What our friends are looking for is to rent a caravan on a caravan/camping site near Montreux-Vevey or somewhere within a reasonable distance. They do not require a mobile home to travel around in. It's purely for somewhere to sleep in.

Does anyone have any ideas?

A friend who visits Chatel St-Denis regularly says it is very nice and well serviced. He is not sure if they hire out Caravans but some are there all year round so would be worth checking out.

Le Bouveret is not too far from Montreux (about the same distance as Chatel St Denis). They have a campground called Camping Rive Bleue that rents caravans, see here. During September, a caravan is 70 CHF per night.
