I'd like to join as well!
I've played a couple of RPGs (also in the Netherlands btw ), mostly White wolf games. But D&D is also nice!

It is, until in the middle of a key battle the Level 16 Magician you befriended two weeks ago for this mission asks you whether your wearing any underwear.

Just out of curiosity, have any of you played dikuMUD ever ? I was addicted to that at University to a level that would have put your local smack addict to shame.
GumibMUD & Moral Decay ... they were my two main uni addictions ...

Oh, and I left my two boxes of various RPG books with a friend in Sydney when I came over, couldn't justify the cost of shipping them here when I didn't have a group ... my red box, a lot of AD&D (1st Ed, 2nd Ed (including Birthright & Dark Sun campaign settings with lots of extra rulebooks for each), 3rd Ed; also Vampire/Werewolf/Mage books, Wheel of Time RPG, Amber Diceless RPG, Robotech RPG, d6 Star Wars RPG ... heaps of books ... but they are still being used by my friend, at least ...

I have a CD at home with the Infocom Masterpieces ... released by Activision, iirc, has all of the Infocom games (including all Zorks!) apart from Hitchhikers' Guide to the Galaxy ... anyone recall Bureaucracy? Leather Goddesses of Phobos? Nord & Bert Couldn't Make Head or Tail of It?? Anyone???

Hmm well I don't know anything about Dark Sun except vaguely remembering something about a Mul names Rikus, an enchantress named Sadeera, some preservers... and a Thri-Keen vaguely springs to mind. Something about Prisms and Pentads...

Do you realise that there are probably a minimum of 3 billion men who have been waiting all their life to meet a bonafide Nerd Queen who actually wants to play WoW and D&D? Seriously, you are probably worth more in equivalent monetary terms to the drooling slobbery nerd crowd out there than Miss World is to other men. You are quite possible nearly a deity in this respect.
That would be something like 18 or maybe even 19 Charisma. With special saving throw bonuses vs male opponents. Obviously you would need to generate tables that took into account NPC and PC races.

I do wonder if my D&D boxes are still in my parents' basement. The red box and the blue box. Although a massive geek, I wasn't nerdy enough to truly become obsessed with it. Video games took over.
I recently got a call from my Mum, asking if she could chuck out the AD&D Monster Manual. Of course, I told her "no!".

Add one more to the adventuring party. I would be interested in a regular game.

Re: Dungeons and Dragons anyone?

Have you also thought of Play by Email (PBeM)? Is a way I've used in the past to continue with a good party that, for various reasons, had physically drifted away ... especially useful for characters that tend to be a little less ... open than others. Removes the need for notes, really, as you can tailor individual emails.

Good question, anything is good really.

My preference would be 3.5e. Very excited by the look of Pathfinder, can't wait for the book to finally arrive.

Sounds great, once you have a plan drop me a message.

Do we have a volunteer to DM?

Thanks for getting things started.

Re: Dungeons and Dragons anyone?

If you are able to recite 4E ... and think of everything in XP related basis, you are definitely a geek.

Nerds don't do that...

Re: Dungeons and Dragons anyone?

How do ya'll feel about having a noob about?

My sisters and their sweeties were into it way back when but I scoffed at them on my way out to dancing.

HOWEVER

Times and attitudes change (I got tired of the club scene) and my older sis made sure I got hooked into MMORPGs with Dark Age of Camelot - where I met my (now) husband.

Hubby, one of my sisters and her family, one of my brothers and his wife all play WoW now (US servers though).

Anyhow, I maybe interested in a get together for some D&D if ya'll are willing to teach.
