Need suggestions for "real" swiss chalet close to Zurich

I have my French/Canadian girlfriend visiting for the week, and as a part of my lobbying effort to get her to relocate to Zurich, I was hoping to give her a real Swiss chalet-in-the-mountains experience Saturday night

Does anyone know a nice chalet for two people that can be rented for a night in the vicinity of Zurich? (hopefully with a bit of a mountain view). I don't know what typical prices are, but I was hoping for something not more than around CHF 400 for a night.

My main constraint is that she flies out of Zurich Sunday morning, so it cannot be a long drive from Zurich (not more than two hours tops).

Re: Need indea for "real" swiss chalet close to Zurich

I would re-think an bit as most mountain villages are now off season and closed, they can be very dead.

Why not look at Bad Ragaz, it's about 90 mins from Zurich, there is a life sized street art exhibition on at the moment and you can go in the Thermal Baths, great location for a weekend. If the budget stretches stay here.

if your heart is on mountains, Flumserberg / Klosters / Davos are all in 2 hours of Zurich. good luck

Thanks! I hadn't heard about Bad Ragaz before - I'll look into it promptly!

I think Flumsberg is a good option- it's great for skiing but it's nice to go just to relax or spend time with your girlfriend. As for a 'real' swiss chalet experience, check out this site for a variety of chalets:

http://www.casamundo.co.uk/index.php...%20Switzerland

Some of them are apartments, but you can still get a 'chalet' feel from these in my view. You can also look at:

Or you could try the area of Engelberg, here are some more sites for chalets in that area:

Engelberg and Flumsberg are pretty near to Zurich, and there must be other mountain areas nearby but this is all I know of!
