Visit to Paris

Hi Friends,
I am in Basel during 2nd week of Dec. Would like to visit paris on 12th, 13th. Can some one guide me on cheapest travel and accomodation option. Regards, Raj

unfortunately paris and cheap dont go together. food is same prices as here and accomodation is about 150-200chf per night for a 3 or 4* centrally located hotel

I think the easiest way to Paris is the train. It is usually 150/way each. But it does fill up fast on the direct trains so book early. Here are a few websites:

For Inexpensive lodging go to a hostel (Auberge de Jeunesse); since there are several it's best that you google and chose.
