You imply that there is something wrong with cold fried chicken...

So, for those of you who can not make the road trip, I offer a solution:

The first thing you have to know is that KFC marinates the chicken before breading it. I did not know this... I did know that Chik-Fil-A does (supposedly they use pickle juice).

The next thing is to consider whether the style you prefer uses "Original Recipe" or "Extra Crispy" at it's frying step.

Most of the other things they carry (I really love the bbq boneless wings) uses the extra crispy batter method and simply add sauce. I'll leave it to you to find regional specialty things you like (I don't recall "Zinger" stuff in Florida for example).

Perhaps as summer comes on a picnic event can be planned at a park with everyone bringing potluck picnic foods... including fried chicken of course.

Stop it, Stop it, Stop it!!!! It is an unwritten but widely understood rule of the EF that nobody is allowed to mention a franchise/restaurant if it isn't available in the vicinity (continental Europe) unless a trip to the restaurant/franchise is planned or a delivery of its products is offered. Exception to this rule is certainly if the arofementioned restaurant/franchise will open up on the premises (Switzerland) within an acceptable time period (one week). You are one cruel person.

Ok, ok, I get it now.

Perhaps a recipe for a Chik-fil-A sammich will help?
Fake Chick-Fil-A-Chicken Sandwich

Me, I miss the sweet tea from Chik-fil-a worse than any of their food BUT I make my own here and it does alright... only thing missing is a 32oz size styrofoam cup full of chipped ice with which to enjoy my tea.

..I so miss those styrofoam cups. I used to dip and the cup was just perfect for that purpose.

To be fair, the marinade recipe is for 15lbs of chicken and, it's not like it all soaks in.

All this talk of road trips and fried chicken while seeing the beautiful sunshine today... I am soooooo in a "beach mood" now as we used to grab a bucket from KFC (or else make use of the bbq grills and have burgers and and brats) head to the park at Ponce Inlet.

I read on the Internet KFC genetically engineers six-legged chickens so that they can serve more drumsticks.

I bought 2 massive buckets of hotwings when we came back from Prague (5-6 hours drive) after stuffing my face with Zinger there. Pop the hotwings into the oven to reheat after and it still tastes divine.

Funny that the OP brought this topic up. I am actually going to get some KFC this weekend. Let me know if you lot want anything
