Wondering how you'll occupy your kids this summer on a budget? (Zurich Area)

Sadly the website is not in English but if your kids are growing up here, THEY should definitely understand

The ZVV has been doing this thing called a Ferienpass for many years now. Basically, you pay CHF 20 and your kid gets to use all of the public transport networt of the ZVV as much as they want for a particular five week period, i.e. their school holiday. It also includes free entry to the Zurich Zoo, the Technorama in Winterthur and the possibility to participate in a load of activities I wouldn't mind doing myself. I don't remember this being around when I was a kid but boy would I have made the most of it.

So hopefully this comes in useful for someone - have fun!

I've moved this - hope you don't mind - but Off Topic it surely isn't!

Thanks for moving this to the right place. Now if only the weather would cotton on to the fact that it's summer... Mind you, Technorama is indoors so that's one rainy day taken care of. Actually, might go there myself, it's great fun, with lot's of hands-on science. And you could have pretend-summer in the Masoala Halle.

sending them to work on a camping site in france. get's rid of them for the whole year and costs no money (in fact they get paid for it).

Well, this thing is aimed at those under 16 - but you're right, anyone older should be working at a summer job at least part of the time, toughen them up and stuff...
