Travel to Glacier 3000

Hi,

I have a discount for a hotel stay and a regional pass for the entire Vaud-Geneva region.
My plan is to go to Les Diablerets tomorrow, take a ship ride on Lake Geneva and go up to Glacier 3000 Thursday morning.
If I do decide to stay back one more day, which is the best place to visit?. I was thinking Leysin and visiting Kuklos.

Any other inputs?.

Thanks a lot in advance.

I went hiking in Leysin on the weekend and it was really nice.

You can also try Gruyeres or hiking around Gstaad.

Hi,

Can Mont Blanc be reached from the Lake Geneva/Vaud region? Or do we need to go into France(chamonix) for that?.

Thanks.

You can drive there from Vaud, but you do need to go into France (or Italy).

Of course, you can get to Zermatt pretty easily if you're looking for a big mountain!

You can pick up a train to get to the bottom of the Glacier 3000 lift from either Aigle or Montreux. I don't know the journey via Gstaad, you need to catch the post bus, but they are similar times. You could go up one way and back the other. The Postbus runs from Gstaad to Diablerets via the pass Col-du-Pillon.

Set the departure as Montreux or Aigle, and destination Glacier 3000

At Diablerets there is a Postbus which stops next to the station, and takes 11 minutes to the cable car.
