Zug Sunday 10th October. Expat day, help needed.

The first Expat Day series of expos is in the Metalli shopping centre in central Zug this Saturday. We were asked to exhibit, unfortunately for the organisors, they have chosen the day when many of the companies who might be interested in exhibitiing wil be in Geneva for the biggest Expat expo of the year.

The first 3 or 4 of these roadshows were cancelled due to, I guess, lack of interest and the whole thing seems to be quite badly organised.

I'm asking if any Zuggers happen to be in the area on Sunday, would you mind popping in (entry is free) and report back on what it's like - number and type of exhibitors and visitors etc. There are more planned that we might be interested in, I just seem to have a bad feeling about the whole thing, so please don't go out of your way and waste a sunny Sunday! Hopefully you'll get a free coffee and a ballon for your trouble.

I live a couple of minutes walk from Metalli and I am meeting family arriving on a train from Italy on Sunday morning, so I'll be walking right through there and can check it out. I'm sure i'll be able to smell the BBQ they mention from up where we are

Well I just got back from the "Event" and I must say, you dodged a bullet this time. It was more like a church boot sale.

Total waste of time and hardly any people either.

Grumpy,

It was absolure rubbish! With more exhibitors (Approx 16) than attandees. We went at around noon and it was dead, to make things worse the exhibts were not that interesting either. I went to one stand (about flying) and nobody even bothered to come and talk to me. The only exhibit that was vaguely interesting was the Ferrari/Maserati stand and that partly accredited to the blonde showing off the cars!

Picture for your reference...

Exactly, saw the blonde, didn't make me buy one of the cars though. What happened to the cowboy shooting thing, real helicopter, testing ur health, golf machine etc.

Soooooo bad.

I saw one girl packing up about 12ish. At least she lasted an hour.

Do you really need more than an hour? You are a stud.

Cheers Mr Legs

Geneva show just finished and it was packed all day for me. Nice to know my gut feeling was right.

Re: Zug Sunday 10th October. Expat day, help needed.

My husband and I also went along and quite frankly it was embarassing. Half of the things on the leaflet (which incidentally seemed to be the only marketing tool they used, including sticking it to a wooden arrow outside the station to 'direct' people to it) weren't even there.
We turned up around 2.15 and there were more stallholders than punters.
Took about 2 minutes to walk round.
I guess it suffered due to the event in Geneva but why wasn't it re-scheduled?
Great idea, poorly executed.
