| | New Swisscom Vivo Casa Packages
Swisscom has released a new suite of packages for TV, Internet and fixed line. I changed over today and will get the new package tomorrow sometime. As my existing contract has run out, I do not need to sign a contract for the new package
For the record, my ADSL speed has doubled, I get free off-peak calls to Swisscom mobiles and landlines (7pm to 7am M-F and all Sat-Sun), as well as free access to Swisscom TV air.
I was paying 94 CHF before and now 99CHF but the extras are definitely worth it.

I moved and called Swisscom for basically the same deal I had. They took the initiative to call it this Casa trio, and now I am paying about 35 or 55, can't remember less francs then I did before. I agree, it's a good deal. And finally a swiss company not finding a way to sneek in an added charge.

I just changed from individual subscriptions to Vivo Casa The comfort package, were paying 94 for phone + internet, now playing 94.5 for all package including T.V for the coming 4 months, then 125, sounds very fair to me and their service is really amazing

I wonder if they will pass these faster internet speeds onto non trio people as well!
I get half price for my first year since I'm young so its cheaper being separate for me |

Basically what they've done is taken out the cost of the line rental 25CHF, and thrown in the Swisscom TV air and offpeak calls.
Agreed, its good service. I went in today and they said it would be activated/upgraded tomorrow. Pretty good in my books.
porsch1909, they also discount the Vivo packages for under 26, for example the Vivo Casa Three star (basic package) is 79CHF [99 less 20] for under 26. See link here the under 26 discount is to the right of the picture at top

Perhaps when my year is done I can move over the vivo under 26 package |

Got an SMS this morning saying the package had been activated. Pretty darn efficient really. I signed up in the shop yesterday afternoon....
My Internet speed has doubled overnight for an extra 4CHF/month. Gotta be happy with that. SwisscomTV live also works. Before. 5MB/s After. 10MB/s | This user would like to thank Raaaabert for this useful post: | |

Does the casa package has the landline enabled?

These new Swisscom packages still look uncompetitive compare to Cablecom.
Swisscom has the disadvantage that watching TV will slow down the internet. Cablecom has the disadvantage that their phone is not a 'real' land-line, but VoIP...
EDIT: Swisscom also has free calls to mobiles - but only Swisscom mobiles.

Really depends on what package you had previous to this offer. I am on Casa trio 111 chf / month, the new offer of 125 chf/month gives me extras that I do not need, Air and calls to mobiles...
So I need to pay 14 chf more for service I do not need.

In my experience the TV signal does not degrade with internet usage or vice-versa.

The problem is I am entrenched with Swisscom as I had to go with them when I was living out in whoopwhoop and there was no Cablecom option. When I moved to the big bad city I just transferred my Swisscom account over to the new address which was also painless. I've had Swisscom fall over once since I've been using it in 1.5 years, during the start of the WC in June and I was livid. As I work from home, if I have no Internet connection I'm screwed. Luckily they sorted it out within 24 hrs.
So being stuck with Swisscom, without wanting to go through the hassle of switching providers, I can honestly say their service levels and products are very good. The same can be said of Cablecom but for a lower price, so its up to the new user to decide what is best for them.

| | Re: New Swisscom Vivo Casa Packages
Although Cablecom's prices are better, they don't advertise the fact that you have to pay the 25-30chf/mo for the physical connection. Still, even with that, their prices are better, but it can be a little bit misleading for some people when they're trying to compare Cablecom vs. Swisscom, and they see a misleading 50chf/mo price difference.
That new Vivo Casa thing is a bit crap compared to the Casa Trio - I hope they don't force us to upgrade from Casa Trio. I don't care to watch tv on my phone, so I don't really want to pay for it...
