Does anyone use/know about UKNova website to watch UK tv programmes? It has been recommended to me by a few people in more exotic locations around the world and being the goody two shoes that I am, I just wanted to ask about the rights and wrongs of it before I leap in, and indeed whether it's any good.

We do have satellite so I am not totally without my UK tv fix, but never managed to get our skybox to connect to our Swiss DVD recorder, so unless I am in when the programme is on, I miss it.

Under Swiss law, as far as I am aware, there's nothing wrong.

You might want to check your local cable provider though. When we arrived here we got BBC Prime and World. Then our provider started offering digital, so we got BBC1-4. Then they added ITV1. Lately ITV2-ITV4 have been added. All without any additional cost.

Still nothing worth watching though.

Too true now that second series of "Miranda" has finished .... but I see it is available for download on UKNova!

Just buy a freesat box from the UK - you can get everything ... and Hi Def !!

Thanks, have done (actually bought a Swiss one here) and get UKtv channels plus high def already, but still unable to get DVD recorder to record stuff from the satellite... I'm sure I should be able to, but so far have drawn a blank .. hence the interest in being able to download stuff instead, particularly for the children who miss out on stuff because its on too late Swiss time ...
