I wonder if it will be made available in Switzerland or as a sim free model though. I noticed that Orange UK will get it but they will load it up with their own skin which will lead to a worse user experience and delayed updates.

The phone is scheduled for release in Q2 2011 which would coincide with the new iPhone though. The US gets it at the beginning of March

Why can't they get their finger out and have a coordinated release in their bigger markets?

Its usually quite easy to reflash the ROM to OEM... unless you're one of those goody goodies

The release suits me fine, especially since I plan to dump Orange in July and sign up with Swisscom. I also like to let the early adopters iron out any bugs that may exist

We'll see how it goes, but I really like the concept of having one of these replace my laptop and media centre. Of course I would need assurance that subsequent generations of the Atrix would use the same docked peripherals, because I don't want to have to replace the laptop/media doc component each time.

Well HTC revealed their 'new' phones at the WMC and I'm not impressed at all. Nothing exciting or innovative. What have they been doing for the last year?

I know we will put the 45nm snapdragon in and add some RAM. That will apease the masses. Oh we better copy Apple and add a front facing camera too

i like the keyboard one. i wish they had a slightly bigger screen though. at least 480x480 would be nice. as would a better keyb layout.

i would jump on a high-spec android phone with a blackberry-like form-factor if it had a 480x640 screen.
