Swisscom mobile credit limit reached

Just got a text from Swisscom telling me I'd reached my credit limit and that I wouldn't be able to make any outgoing calls.

Spent half an hour trying to get through to the call centre to find out what's going on. I don't have any outstanding invoices, and I'm 99% sure I'm on a contract, not a pay-as-you-go option.

How do I go about topping up the account, and has anyone had something like this before? Really can't be without a phone and getting frustrated with nobody picking up at their call centre.

Yeah yeah

Ever since the silver one took a cablecom package he's had to change his name to the silver stutterer.

Seriously though, what's a quick fix? Only other post I could find said train ticket machines worked but that was 4 years ago - any idea if it's still the case?

Are you certain nobody has used your phone and dialled premium rates or overseas ? These limits are quite high. Can you make an online payment ?

Re: Swisscom mobile credit limit reached

Well I was in Turkey for a month, so pretty sure the bill is gonna be high, but it's not been a problem before.

Guess it'll have to wait for the morning, just don't have the time to sit on hold to Swisscom to figure out how to pay them outside of their direct debit thing. Ugh, worst timing ever.

Re: Swisscom mobile credit limit reached

I hope you had a roaming plan... Some of the bills from overseas usage can be quite shocking. Have you tried online billing/accounts ?

Re: Swisscom mobile credit limit reached

Yeah, got roaming so not too worried about the cost.

Will have to try pay them online tomorrow, don't have the ubs calculator with me and that's where the direct debit info is.

Thanks anyway hatters!

Re: Swisscom mobile credit limit reached

So in case anyone ever finds themselves in the same situation - it's possible to buy additional Swisscom credit online using your credit card.

http://www.swisscom.ch/res/mobile/ta...aden/index.htm

It's pretty easy - took about half an hour from the time I bought credit to the time I got a text back from Swisscom saying they'd unblocked my account.

Mods, you can lock this one up.
