Hi, I just tried to set up a friends email on their sunrise iphone for their Czech email provider email.cz but could only get incoming email working. Usually that means smtp access is locked to the sunrise smtp server but I'm not on sunrise, nor do I own an iPhone, nor do I speak Czech to clue myself in on the smtp settings, so

Does anyone know if sunrise lock access to only their smtp server?

Bonus question, are there any Czech members who have already setup an email.cz (or apparently sezname.cz is the same provider) account?

From google translate I got the smtp server as smtp.seznam.cz and it looks like I need to set the smtp authentication details (which I did) but I'm not sure about SSL settings or port numbers.

So if anyone has experience of email.cz on sunrise please wave a hand and say 'me me me'

or I'll keep trying to work out what google translate is telling me.

My friend has also recently purchased an iphone and has an email account with seznam. Unfortunately whilst trying to set up the iphone 4 we encountered the same problems . i was wondering if you have any more information as to what i might try in regards to the smpt server port numbers for in comming and out going servers ect. i am at a complete loss .

Yes it does work, a czech speaker was able to get the settings, it's not my phone but I should be seeing her next week so I'll grab the settings and post them here

Here you go, this is whats working on her phone for smtp, I guess you got the pop access working ok.



there was also another identical server configured as a secondary server but with the server toggle set to off.
