Swiss channels on SKy Tv

All, I am in the process of weighing up my TV options and am tending towards SKY. However I was wondering whether it is possible to access local Swiss channels via SKY or not? If so does anyone know which channels? Thanks

Re: Swiss channels on SKy Tv

I don't think so. You can add channels by putting a new frequency but I think they would come from a diff satellite

Nope no swiss channels on SKY.. you'd have to use simply the local antenna or building's feed as well.... There really is nothing worth watching on there IMHO...

Re: Swiss channels on SKy Tv

If you want to watch Swiss channels on satellite, you need 13E (Hotbird) or 19E (Astra).

All the "good" channels (SF2, and a couple of others) are encrypted, due to licensing. If you live in Switzerland, you can buy a card for a one-time fee of 60CHF from SRG.

Re: Swiss channels on SKy Tv

Does your Sky box have a DVB-T input connection?

Digital Video Broadcasting - Terrestial

Then with a room antenna you could receive DSR digitally.
