Beware Tele2 ADSL

With Tele2, they take advantage of other service providers who allow termination with a months notice, then stitch you up with 12 month rolling contract. i.e. you can only cancel once a year and if you 'miss' the date, they will charge you for the remaining (upto 12) months.

Tele2 is now effectively defunct - bought out/taken over by Sunrise, and will cease trading at some stage.

We've used them for a few years without any major problems (no more than others seem to have with other providers), and for better or worse (for ease more than anything), renewed our contract with Sunrise, when they contacted us - time will tell (well 10mths with 2mths termination period).

That practice - 12 month rolling contract - applies to nearly all standard telecoms operators: Swisscom, Sunrise and Balcab... the Swiss are a bit slow on this one (or are they just a little bit quicker than we give them credit for?).
