Re: Cablecom has a new offer with free calls

How would this be charged to the receiving party? And is it outbound only, or would this mean that anyone from those countries can now call you at no cost to yourself too?

naturally the other party does not have to pay when you call! But your call is free.

Not so natural for some companies... always good to check before you get the bill.

Re: Cablecom has a new offer with free calls

Personally, I wouldnt recommend Cablecom, if you search in the Complaints forums, you will know why.
And my friend who is a subscriber to Cablecom, and lives in Horgen has had so many problems with Cablecom, the connections blacks out, leaving you with no telephone, T.V., radio, for up to 3 days.
There is no point trying to call them, all you get is a automated answer, and if you do decide to hold the line after 10mins you give up.

No, not matter, what Cablecom offers, its not for me!

Re: Cablecom has a new offer with free calls

I had Cablecom for 5+ years and it was great for us (phone/Internet/tv) Maybe the Zurich network is more solid than other spots, but I never had any problem with customer service either and we only spoke in English.

So while I am sorry your experience was not good, for us, the price kept going down and the offers kept getting better.

Fduvall

PS-and I agree with the next post that the HD DVR Cisco box is a POS. But I think a new one is coming soon.

Well I never found the support was that bad. But their hardware for digital TV is really cheap and primitive.

Re: Cablecom has a new offer with free calls

I signed up with Cablecom despite what some people wrote on this site and have had several months of happy service from my Cisco mediabox so far

But the first box I got did have a problem and was replaced immediately by the helpful staff at the Zürich servicepoint in Zollstrasse, who also did the activation and system updates to show me that the box did in fact work

The last time I signed up with them they also sent someone around with a replacement next day after I rang to say (in English) that my modem had died. Internet speeds much faster than with my ex-cable internet provider in London

Re: Cablecom has a new offer with free calls

Nobody can recommend cablecom to me, they are the most abyzmal company i have EVER dealt with, only 3 days ago we were off line AGAIN for day. They have the worst customer service response in the world, quite possibly the entire universe!

Re: Cablecom has a new offer with free calls

For me Cablecom is excellent as I find them English friendly and their pricing seems very reasonable for what you get. For the people who don't like them, what do you use instead as Swisscom/Bluewin are not better?
