| | Sunrise 3G internet - issues anyone?
Is anyone, on the Sunrise 3G network, suffering any issues with speed at the moment? Since yesterday I am getting terribly low speeds since yesterday evening.
I tried calling Sunrise CS, but was cut of the first 3-4 times, then on hold for 10 mins before I gave up (calling from mobile & its expensive).
I know there was a thread recently in the complaints section about someone who was suffering because of the newly imposed 500Mb daily limit, however I have definitely not reached that.

It is still OK for me ( tested using the New York server ): http://www.whatismyip.com/tools/internet-speed-test.asp
Try forcing your DNS resolvers to eg 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220 and test out.

Finally got through to CS just now, they had restricted my speed due to reaching the daily limit on Friday. However the system which releases that restriction failed Fri & Sat nights, so he did it manually, and I am back up & running.
I did ask if I could have that daily limit removed, but he did not have the ability to do it. He suggested I send a letter to to sunrise & ask.
jrspet - Cheers, I had tried OpenDNS, but I just knew it was something to do with those daily limits.

I didn't realise there was a daily cap, only a monthly cap. But then I use it purely for emails and EF stuff ( bloody moderating work takes up a chunk ) and only when away from home. I'm on the CHF49 a month plan.

I don't often reach my daily limit, but it happens frequently enough to annoy me. 500Mb is a large amount, but can be reached very quickly if one is downloading music/movies whether it be through legal channels or otherwise.

SUNRISE SUNRISE NEVER AGAIN - Until today I was with Swisscom for internet at 49 francs a month and fixed phone 25 sfr. A couple of months ago Sunrise contacted me and proposed click&call 5000 + (fixed phone and equivalent internet at 39 francs a month for 12 months). I thought why not as there is quite a big price difference. I terminated the internet contract for May 30th and Sunrise after I had signed papers at the post office with id card to give them the right to terminate the fixed phone contract were meant to do this. Haven't received anything back so I contacted them yesterday at 18.30. They have no trace of all this - have spoken to about 3 people again today and nobody can trace anything in my name. I have a copy of the post paper I signed and confirmation of sunrise click & call letter. No client number ! They really are hopeless and don't care. They have no idea what has happened - just said they have contractors involved so ..............
Have just now had to contact Swisscom back to get back my connections - I have to start now new contracts.

I am using it at my place because I don't have adsl or nothing here but it works really great for me. I can even download at great speeds compared to what I was using in Iceland and other places.
Skype can be a bit laggy sometimes but it mostly just works.
