Amazing laptop deal at Dell UK *NO LONGER AVAILABLE*

As title there is a crazy deal going on in the UK with a laptop form the Dell website... it's either the best offer i've ever seen, or a misprint. I just bought one without even hesitating. The spec is: http://configure.euro.dell.com/dells...13b4ff1a5d5cbc

I have never in my life, I repeat NEVER seen a better laptop deal (I know, if it looks too good to be true... but you never know). My order has been confirmed so hopefully it will follow through... and I advise anyone looking for a good laptop, with a UK address they can get it delievered to, to buy one asap, because that is not only the latest Intel Sandy Bridge processor, but the graphics card is also a respectable mid-range one that will handle some gaming on medium details with the latest titles.

Mind-bogglingly cheap, for that money are laptops a third or less of the spec. Yes, warranty is UK-based, but for the money you seriously can't complain, and Dell are pretty damn reliable. Hope it comes in useful to some of you, because it's doubtful you'll see a deal like it again... I just hope it's not a pricing error and that it gets fulfilled, but if not... nothing lost I guess.

Unfortunately, I don't see an option to add OS X to it...

It's a massive bargain... I have to suspect they are dumping faulty Sandybridge motherboards on the Market...

EDIT
They've rumbled it....

was it really such a good deal? i saw it but didn't really feel compelled to buy. maybe cos i don't need a laptop. but i guess would be good for someone who doesn't already have one.

Just got home to read this... will be interesting to see if the people who did buy get their purchases honoured. I doubt they would be dumping faulty mobos onto the market though!

Yes, it was that good a deal (literally stonkingly good), but no, I guess if you don't need a laptop then you would probably not be compelled to buy.

The massive drop in graphics power also! Is that for the same price?

EDIT - Same spec as in my OP now costs 700 quid.

I misread it as CPU... as that has also dropped significantly. Forgiveable error methinks.

Re: Amazing laptop deal at Dell UK *NO LONGER AVAILABLE*

looks like one of those common tricks that companies do to increase traffic to their website.

stick up a unreal deal, let word get around and then cancel it, and hope people buy something else. seen a few where they have misplaced the decimal point on prices etc..

It was posted on a large deals website, so a ton of people must have bought one in the 30 mins or so that it was available. I just thought i'd post it here on the off chance some EF'ers got lucky. Nothing ventured nothing gained.

Yup, checked yesterday and payment was taken and I got a tracking order... apparently they are honouring ALL orders! Pretty amazing reallz, and top-notch customer service imo.

There are some amazing deals on the Dell Outlet at the moment too, i7 Sandy Bridge laptops with a good GPU for less than 500 inc VAT... that is amazing http://outlet.euro.dell.com/Online/I...bbf8a674e91b51
