iPad 2 availability near Zug/Zürich?

Anyone know where one is in stock? Wife taking a long oversees trip in 2 weeks, we want to have one for it, and that's too long to order/wait at the stores we have asked.

Thanks!

Have you tried Migros Zugerland..? They used to have them in stock, don't know if they still do or if they are order only.

Re: iPad 2 availability near Zug/Zürich?

Sorry should have mentioned... the one with 3G. Migros Zugerland only carry the non-3G one. Dataquest in Zug, ARP in Rotkreuz have the non-3G as well on stock. The 3G is the one I want and can't find around

That would be "DataQuest".

There are 12 variants of the iPad 2, which one are you after? And does it have to be a bricks n mortar store, or can you order online?

Re: iPad 2 availability near Zug/Zürich?

I found the 3G versions to be available quite well, but since I wanted the WiFi version I ordered it online at Apple. It took 3-4 weeks before I had it.

Just in case you aren't aware, if you have an iPhone, you can use your iphone's 3G connection on the iPad by simply linking the ipad & the iphone through the personal hotspot function (on the phone) meaning that you don't actually need a 3G iPad & separate data plan.
Although, I also understand some people will still want a stand alone 3G Pad.

I use mine this way & it works perfectly.

Re: iPad 2 availability near Zug/Zürich?

I walked into the Apple store in Zurich and walked out with the ipad2 around 15 minutes later, they seem to replenish their stock fairly regularly and have both 3G and non 3G.

Maybe pop in and have a look or give them a call

hmmm, when you ask a 'specialist' what the differences are I'd really expect them to know one version has gps and the other doesn't, its a pretty major difference. hence dumb bint.

So you asked her specifically whether the wifi version had GPS or not did you?
And in German?

Not to mention that it's not exactly a major leap of deduction to guess that the wifi only version probably doesn't have it - as a 2 second check on the iPad's tech specs page will tell you.

Whatever - the "dumb bint" comment says a lot more about you & it's not complimentary.

wtf??

lol

No I specifically asked "whats the difference between the wifi and 3g versions?"

why would I guess that only 3g versions have it??? when you ask a specialist in an apple store what the differences are then you would reasonably expect them to know, how hard can it be? 3g version has sim card and gps, wifi version doesn't, 2 differences, hardly rocket science is it?

Re: iPad 2 availability near Zug/Zürich?

I have bought mine 1,5 week ago.

Tried the Apple Store, Manor and Interdiscount in Zurich City with no luck.

But Mediamarkt Sihlcity had 2 left.

I wanted a WiFi-version only. They are even harder to find than the 3G versions.
