Charger from laptop left in the business trip

Dear EF! I know you know everything

My funny honey left the charger from his laptop (HP Elite Book 2540 P) in the last business trip (he comes back there soon) But now for several days he badly needs his PC (documents, outlook, God knows what else..) and plays on my nerve.
Is there any escape from this situation except immediate buying a new charger?

Many thanks to everybody!
And have a fruitful day
P.S. We are now near Lausanne and on Monday he goes to another business trip.
P.P.S. If to buy a new one, what is the cheapest place? (I guess I have to find the answer in one of EF threads)

Re: Charger from laptop left in the business trip

I have a charger for an ( currently ) unused laptop HP EliteBook 8530W that might work and can drop it off on loan at Lausanne gare if you wish.

Wow. This forum is amazing.
By the way, I left some gold-bars in the trunk of my Ferrari on my last buisness trip, I was wondering....

I think an aussie found them, and the car and made a quick getaway

Re: Charger from laptop left in the business trip

It's good to see that there may be a solution - but a general question.

- Is it such an ordeal and/or expense, just to replace it and buy a new one?
(or am I missing something - in my blissful state of ignorance?)

if it's a company laptop and it went missing while on company business then surely it his company's responsibility to fix him with a temporary replacement?

Yes, but on Monday he has a super important meeting. And today we are near Lausanne and he works near Zurich. So its a bit more complicated than seems to be

Re: Charger from laptop left in the business trip

You are most probably right and its not that big expense. He tries to find out from HP whether it is sold somewhere in the area.
At the same time he is working today and these phone calls take a huge amount of time.
