Cablecom - some startup / setup Qns

Hi all - got the keys to the apartment!!! We're going to sign up to Cablecom for Internet and TV I think. Just a few questions, am giong to ring them in the afternoon, but just wanted to get some pointers first!

1) What is the usual minimum contract?
2) Can they take payment by credit card / transfer ? Reason I ask is dont haev a bank account yet. Will next week, but dont have one for the setup
3) The apartment says it is prepared for cable, what does that mean? I didn't see any points around which look like cable - do you normally have to get someone to hook it up ?

Cheers
Graham

Minimum contract is usually 12 months (although at the moment you get a 3 month no obligation trial period).

I don't believe not having a bank account will be an issue. They offer 5 payment methods and the default seems to be they send you a bill which you pay however (post office, online banking etc.)...I'm quite certain they didn't ask me for my bank details when I applied. In fact I've had to send them a form (which you can easily download - prefilled - from your account area on their site).

Re: Cablecom - some startup / setup Qns

Following on from this, does anyone know if the Cablecom internet special offers cycle? It seems they always have something on the go, but I may be wrong.
A while ago they were offering a free wireless router, at the moment it's one year's free internet security. This offer is due to run out tomorrow, I wondered if anyone knows whether there will be a new one starting?
I just ask as I'm looking to sign up now, but can wait a few days if a more exciting offer starts in the new month!
Thanks
