Closed NAT Type - Swisscom

So here goes;

I've been at this for a while - about 2 or 3 years - but I just recently picked up trying to fix this again. On my xbox 360, I have a closed NAT type, which means I can't connect to my friends, and everything is slower. I've called Swisscom many, many times, and each time they say another "specialist" will call me in a few days. It never works. Now they're telling me that the "cable to my neighbourhood is too 'long'".

It's ridiculous.

Now, I know that really all I should have to do is forward some ports. I've tried, but once I specify the ports, there is a cross next to 'enabled'. I've specified the xbox by it's Mac adress (when I try to specify it by it IP, it says it's not on a LAN network), but still it gives me the cross under enabled. It will only give me a check if I say the ports are needed by my Airport Express, but that doesn't effect my NAT type on the xbox at all.

I'm wondering if anyone else has had this problem, and would GREATLY appreciate any help, as Bungie Day is coming up this week, and I need to connect to my friends.

Re: Closed NAT Type - Swisscom

Have you tried setting up a DMZ on your network and then giving the Xbox that IP address? I did this on my Xbox and it changed it from Moderate to Open.

All the info is here: http://www.neoseeker.com/forums/4962...sing-dmz-upnp/

Might be worth a try.
