Anyone on Prepaid? which is the cheapest?

I am moving to Basel in a weeks time and was looking for what options I have on Prepaid sim.
I found Orange, lebara and lyca almost same on the calling part. Lebara and lyca seems to have hidden charge called call setup fee or connection fee which makes them very expensive compared to orange prepay.

Any recommendations from the forum members for cheapest local calling rates on prepaid?

Thanks!

Our mobiles and landline are with TalkTalk (ranked 3rd on that comparison) plus you can call between your lines for free and call other talk talkers in CH for free. ADSL with them too means a free 100mb mobile data every month too. We pay around CHF 80 a month for line rental + adsl + 2 mobiles and all calls.

Is there any prepaid plan where there is no fee when callling and/or texting within the same network?

I find most of the operators offer some kind of plan for free calling in same network. Orange has preferred number plan, lebara has family plan...

Re: Anyone on Prepaid? which is the cheapest?

With regards to Orange, their preferred numbers expire very soon after buying the credit.

Anyway, after browsing through prepaid mobile websites I have understood that I have been spoiled by phone tariffs here where 5 CHF a month gets me 7 hours to all networks, inclding SMS and some internet. Not mentioning instant activation of the tariff, no requirement for any registration etc.

Currently I have found yallo.ch to be acceptable, as it costs 0,05 CHF for calls within the network and international calls are not that expensive as well.

In Swiss?

EDIT: Ok just saw your location. I know how high rate kills the fun.

Re: Anyone on Prepaid? which is the cheapest?

I've been using Yallo since I got here last year. El cheapo basic phone from Post and I just top up when needed. As I am leaving soon I will just top up with the minimum CHF10 and that can do me till it runs out.

I rarely use it for calls though, usually sms, so that might not suit you, but it's been just fine.

Re: Anyone on Prepaid? which is the cheapest?

Sunrise online has a good deal at the moment. I ordered this phone http://www1.sunrise.ch/Handys-mit-Pr...de_CH-CHF.html

It includes Chf50 of calls and 200 text (circa Chf100 value) in Switzerland. Call rate to sunrise mobiles or any landline is Chf1 for the first call and free for the rest of the day. If you don't make a call then the credit balance rolls forward, you have about 3 months to use the credit. Calling mobiles can be expensive if they are from another service provider.

On this deal once the credit is used throw the phone away (completly wrong I know) and start again to get the best deal.

Their international calling seems cheap but they have small clause for local calls which is bit confusing.

Quote:
Calls are billed by the minute. Call set-up fee 19 ct. per call.
* Lebara Family: Call set-up fee 39 ct., from the 31. minute 45 ct./min.
My main question is
- all local calls are charged additional 19c? is it for first min for each call?
- Same applicable for international call?
- Lebara to Lebara is mentioned 0 with asterix, the asterix says 0.39 cents. its one time charge for first minute for each call?
