What is the best option for internet/phone/tv in Duebendorf or is it only possible with Glattwerk/Glattnet?
Thanks

There's only one company in each flat, I think in Duebendorf it's only glattnet. If you know the address, you can check on cablecom.ch if they are at this location.

Can't you get Cablecom everywhere in the country, independently of who the local cable provider is ?

You can certainly get Swisscom's phone/TV/internet package, since it uses the phone line rather than the TV cable input and so is not dependent on local providers at all.

We don't have phone or TV, but we have internet with Glattnet. This was the only one we could get, even though it took Swisscom a few weeks to let us know. Once we ordered, everything moved along quickly, and there hasn't been a single problem in over 6 months. So, as far as internet goes, I would highly recommend Glattnet.

Cable for internet can only be had via one provider, either a cablecom reseller or the local cable company/utility. DSL is usually available via LOTS of ISPs, TV is either local cable, cablecom for loads of digital channels, and swisscom TV via DSL. There a whole forum subsection on this.

It's strange that for almost the same price that cablecom has 10x the download rate!! Or do I read it wrong?

You can not get Cablecom in Dubendorf. The Glattnet offer is comparable to Cablecom for the Internet.

For Digital TV, it's the same you get the offering from Digital Cable Group (DCG) instead of Cablecom. They allow you use to any digital set top box/TV that supports CI/CONAX. Cablecom forces you to use a CI+ TV/Set-top if you want to have choice.

The last time I checked GlattNet offered less bandwidth and asked for higher prices. In addition, GlattNet is well known for 'fair use' notifications:

No you can't get Cablecom everywhere in the country. Some Gemeinde do not provide Cabelcom the necessary franchise. Examples are the Glatt valley Gemeinden like Wallisellen, Opfikon, etc.

Indeed Swisscom TV is an option, but is also dependent on local infrastructure, which is not "certain".
