Using a Swisscom router/modem abroad

Hi All

I've been searching around all over t'internet, and can't seem to find an answer to this....

I have a Swisscom Centro Grande modem/router as part of my Swisscom Internet/TV...I know the modem has both ADSL and VDSL technology, so can just adapt dependent on the signal it receives.

Does anyone know if U I take the router abroad, then if I connect it to an ADSL or VDSL connection if it will work, or does the firmware on tie it into Swisscom?

If anyone has any technical insight into this it would be appreciated!

Thanks

Re: Using a Swisscom router/modem abroad

The Centro router is indeed a Pirelli router in a fancy housing. As far as I know, the firmware ties it to Swisscom (the device is remote managed by the ISP).

If you are technically inclined you can have a look there http://tpirelli.blogspot.com for more information on how to tweak it.
