Choosing an internet/tv/phone provider

I have recently moved to Zurich and am finding the biggest challenge so far is not in finding a nice affordable flat (although that really was a challenge) but choosing a provider for TV/broadband and telephone. I have read all the past comments but this market is constantly changing. Why would I pay one provider 99 CHF a month for a basic bundle when I can get a similar bundle with another for 59 CHF? I just want a decent enough broadband speed, good range of digital TV channels and a phone line which the basic packages provide. As far as I can gather there is no longer a big gap in the quality of service from the main providers and some people have had lots of issues to deal with and some havent. If you can offer any advice that will help me finally reach a decision I would love to hear from you.

Re: Choosing an internet/tv/phone provider

imho cablecom is best overall, the broadband is the fastest, tv is great (all main uk free channels) and phone is ok. just wish our new place was cabled up now we're on swisscom which is expensive and we only get 2mb broadband, which is a bit of a shit when you've been used to 50mb

lots of people will disagree with me though but in 6 years of cablecom we never had any issue.

Re: Choosing an internet/tv/phone provider

In Zurich upc cablecom have the fastest network, the lowest prices, and pretty good service. Plus loads of forum members here online that can help, should you need it.

You'll be up and running within 48hrs after ordering online.

Tips:
Always use GigE networks inside your house if going for more than 50Mbit/s internet speed.

Use cabled networks whereever you can (although the new upc cablecom modems have wifi built in), simply because cable is reliable, always on, and much faster than wifi.

I have both, but WiFi is a backup if the cabled connection fails
