Re: New Cablecom Support forum announced.

Great, just in time for the lengthy complaint that I'll be composing this weekend. I've had nothing but crap service from them since I upgraded and crap communications from their tech support and customer service people. My wife, who relies heavily on the internet for her online studies, is asking if we can find someone else. Any non-crap suggestions for an ISP? Or are all of them of such great 'Swiss quality'?

Re: New Cablecom Support forum announced.

True Swiss customer service....

So, I monitored my issues for quite awhile, dutifully reporting back to cablecom via the email they used to write to me. After getting frustrated enough to call customer service this evening and rant a bit, the poor tech guy said that they hadn't heard back from me after they opened the ticket!
Man, I thought we had a sucky ticketing system at work. I sure wish ours lost tickets like theirs does.

Swiss quality!!!

Post your problem/symptoms on the CC forum...you can have the honour of being the first one to start a thread. I might also be the first one to solve a problem there

Competition ?? Not a chance. it's a Tech Support forum. Didn't Mark want EF to avoid becoming such ?

Still , 67 hits in 5 hours of going live. I hope it does well, it can only help the frustrated users out there.

So we can expect to see lots of "Cablecom sux" threads...?

I wonder how they'll handle criticism..

Sure: Swisscom.

Best service, less speed than cablecom and a higher price tag.

(In other words: You can have service, but it will cost you...)

Disclaimer: A couple of years ago I used to work for them. But since I am using cablecom myself (because I like speed...), I guess my bias is not that terrible. Cablecom worked great for me "when it worked". As soon as there was an issue, they have always managed to screw it up completely. To the point that I went to their customer service center in ZH and put my digital TV box on the table saying "if you don't make it work by tomorrow, I'll bring it back."

Cablecom (like WWZ) is only 1 of 240 independent cable tv/phone/internet providers in Switzerland, all members of the Swisscable association.
