I would have suggested it, but I thought we were only supposed to suggest sitcoms that were funny.

Re: Best Sitcom..

As old Brit sitcoms seem to be getting a mention, I used to enjoy "Whatever happened to the Likely Lads", which was the continuation, after a few years, of the Likely Lads, which I remember less well.

".... you dirty old man";
and
".... you stupid boy";
were good in their day - the latter still being shown on Saturday evening on Beeb2.

It may be that a Charlie Sheen joke has massively just gone over my head... could somebody clarify this for me please?
Why else would I mention it then ???

Don't worry, not everyone gets the jokes!

Re: Best Sitcom..

If you like somewhat surreal British comedy, try the Green Wing or the League of Gentlemen..
In a similar vein, the sketch show Big Train is well worth a look.

One I haven't seen mentioned is It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. If you haven't seen it, get on that.

I recommend the Big Bang Theory. I absolutely love Sheldon Cooper and Amy Farrah Fowler.

So will you be bringing them along to the Prof's vid night anytime?

And for those who like to be unswerving in their topics. I like Arrested Development.

I'm not too familiar with Prof's vids nights--but for sure..

For those who aren't familiar, Arrested Development has very typical american (simpsons, seinfeld, family guyesque) humour, however very intricately written with double and triple meanings, long running gags and quite the depth. Soo humourously deep, the american population didn't quite get it, regardless of critical acclaim including 22 emmy nominations in 2.5 seasons.

It can get addictive on DVD

Not here, no - the chickens were driven out by the turkeys long ago

Very addictive. You have to be careful not to blue yourself.

(Arrested D reference, for those confused.)

The big bang theory and how I met your mother...
Seinfeld and FRIENDS are my personal favorites but the only problem is if you see them now they seem too outdated with technology,happenings etc .
